In November 2024, NailLift Canada participated in the annual conference hosted by the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine (CFPM), engaging directly with podiatrists and chiropodists from across the country.
Our objective at the time was professional engagement — to better understand how structured nail bracing fits within the broader continuum of podiatric care in Canada.

Conservative Nail Correction Canada Within the Surgical Continuum
Ingrown and involuted toenails are managed across a spectrum of care that includes:
Conservative debridement
Nail bracing systems
Partial nail avulsion
Surgical matrix procedures
Discussions at CFPM highlighted the importance of clinical decision-making: determining when conservative approaches are appropriate and when surgical intervention remains necessary.
Within this continuum, structured nail bracing systems may serve as:
An early intervention option
A recurrence-reduction strategy
A conservative alternative in selected cases
A complement to post-surgical management
These conversations reinforced that conservative nail correction Canada is not positioned as a replacement for surgical care — but as part of a thoughtful, case-based treatment algorithm.
Clinical Priorities Identified at CFPM
Several themes consistently emerged during conference discussions:
• Predictable correction mechanics• Retention reliability• Patient comfort• Clear contraindication guidelines• Recurrence management
For podiatric professionals, any conservative modality must demonstrate mechanical logic, reproducibility, and clinical accountability.
Engaging in these conversations was instrumental in refining how NailLift Canada positions nail bracing within a structured medical framework.
Aligning With Canadian Podiatric Standards
Participation at CFPM underscored the importance of aligning with:
Provincial regulatory expectations
Documentation standards
Informed consent protocols
Referral pathways
Conservative correction methods must exist within established professional boundaries and collaborative care models.
NailLift Canada remains committed to ongoing professional dialogue to ensure that nail bracing is implemented responsibly and in alignment with Canadian podiatric standards.
Closing
CFPM 2024 marked an important step in strengthening national engagement with the podiatric community.
We look forward to continued collaboration with podiatrists and chiropodists across Canada as conservative nail correction continues to evolve within modern clinical practice.
